Staple under crown?

A special case of kids being kids. After twelve months of unremarkable radiographic findings, the patient presents with an interesting mystery. What do you think it is? ⁣

CC: dental pain and gingival bleeding in UR quadrant⁣

Dx: foreign object impaction under #B SSC⁣

Tx: #B extraction⁣ ⁣

🔑: Kids will be kids and that’s what makes pediatric dentistry so unique and challenging. Sometimes, you have to think outside the box. My theory: the patient was picking at his crown with a piece of staple when it became lodged under the crown. The kid’s guilty face says it all. 🤣⁣ ⁣
